Since its establishment in 2006, ICN Japan Ltd. has been involved in the development of original Japanese web fonts and their implementation in mobile phones, together with well-known Japanese font artists. Through these projects, we have come to want to convey the depth and beauty of the Japanese language to people overseas who are interested in Japan.

In recent years, more and more foreigners have become interested in Japan and Japanese culture through Japanese anime and manga, as well as through Japanese food, traditional martial arts or tea ceremonies, and the number of visitors from abroad continues to increase.

In view of this situation,  we have launched  “Japanish naming,” a new service for giving Japanese names, in April 2023, by taking advantage of our long years of experience with Japanese characters.

Our vision is to promote cultural communication between Japan and the rest of the world, apart from politics. Our company name, ICN, is also named in line with that vision and is an acronym for International Communication Network.

What is Japanish naming service?

The website provides a service to give Japanese (Japanish) names to people who have become interested in and love Japan for various reasons, people who are trying to learn more about the Japanese language and culture, and people who have the opportunity to travel or work in Japan.
